I just got my redgage visa card after inactivity for nearly two months ( this might be because I am living in the Philippines ). Yep! I can now show you the proof that Redgage really does pay. Here is the scanned copy of my redgage visa card, please comprehend that I need to hide some vital information on the card for security purposes…(drumroll!)

This plastic has .00 inside it that I can use to shop in any establishments that accept visa debit cards. 

How Will I Spend My .00?

.00 is already a decent money here in the Philippines. That is why I am having a hard time to decide on what to purchase using this free cash from Redgage. But one thing for sure, I will definitely use this money to purchase something pleasurable.

Recently a couple tried to pay off their credit card with cash only to find out that they were unable to do so.  The Co-op Bank had been accepting cash for years in a payment.  Yet, the most current payment was sent back with a note that they do not accept cash and no explanation.

A tiny detective work has uncovered a few regulation changes that could affect how you can pay your credit card.  The Payments Services Directive was effective as of November 1, 2009.  The regulation says that cash payments to all retail bank accounts, including credit cards must be credited to the statement immediately.  However, the Co-op bank has been unable to keep up with the technology to do this.  It is a great cost to change the system.  So cash is no longer accepted in order to have a paper trail such as a cheque to show payment has been made.
